I’m not gonna bet against Claude Code, but there is a very important lesson in product competition going on right now, and it’s this: The features ≠ the Product

Based on absolute engagement — the platform doesn’t expose follower counts here, so large accounts score higher.

From likes, comments.

Why it worked

Ends on a short line that is easy to quote and repeat.
Written from experience rather than as advice, which is harder to argue with.
Short enough to read in full without expanding, which removes a step before the point lands.
Opens on a negative, which reads as a warning and is harder to ignore than a claim.

The mechanics

Hook: Plain observation
Structure: Hook → Landing
Style: Conversational paragraphs at a steady pace.
Tone: personal
Written for: Product teams

I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter! @LindaYacc will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology. Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app.

Amazon is testing a new “AI English Dub” feature for anime and it’s genuinely fucking putrid and insanely disrespectful to actual human actors who put their life and soul into both the Dubs and Subs of these shows Fuck you @PrimeVideo @amazon

One reason vibe coding is so addictive is that you are always *almost* there but not 100% there. The agent implements an amazing feature and got maybe 10% of the thing wrong, and you are like "hey I can fix this if i just prompt it for 5 more mins" And that was 5 hrs ago

o3 and o4-mini are super good at coding, so we are releasing a new product, Codex CLI, to make them easier to use. this is a coding agent that runs on your computer. it is fully open source and available today; we expect it to rapidly improve.

Fable 5.1 is our best model yet for coding, data analysis, computer use, design, presentations, Tag, and the hardest long-running agentic work. This model is a pleasure to work with, and I've been using it for everything.

hey i'm really sorry to keep hyping our own product but you really should get chatgpt plus and install the chrome extension for search i am cheerfully the first to admit when we ship something that isn't very good, but this time it's...really good
